洋基隊日籍王牌田中將大，今天（6月16日）在客場先發對戰馬林魚，前6局雙方以1:1平手，但7局下半，田中被轟出陽春砲種下敗因，終場洋基就以1:2落敗，也把美聯東區王座讓給光芒隊，這場比賽另一個大焦點，就是田中首度對決昔日隊友鈴木一朗，結果被大前輩敲出2支安打。

2014年2人還是隊友，但現在已經成了對手，各為其主，1局下半，一朗就敲出一壘安打，3局下半，2人二度交手，田中又讓大前輩擊出一支內野安打上一壘，鈴木一朗單場4支2，生涯安打數也來到2884支，不過5局下田中也討回顏面。

田中三振掉一朗，這場比賽他送出6K，至於進攻方面，洋基巨砲一壘手MarkTeixeira在2局上率先開砲。

這支陽春砲是鐵爺本季第18轟，還有第48分打點，洋基1:0領先，不過馬林魚追得也很快，下半局馬上扳成1:1平手，田中這場比賽先發7局，被敲9支安打，有點多，經常出現失分危機，但他總能化險為夷，可惜7局下Hold不住了。
